Our client, a reputable, growing company is looking for a Network / Systems Operations Engineer to join their team in Westchester County, NY as a full-time employee. As a Network / Systems Operations Engineer and member of the central global network team, you will provide Level 3 operational network and end-point services support within regional zones. Your primary function is to supervise and ensure the efficient operation of the companys Network within a region. You will be part of a global team that provides 24/7/365 Level 3 engineer support for deploying, monitoring and diagnosing network and IT systems problems. In this role, you will work closely with the regional Business Unit decision makers in order to identify, recommend, develop, and deploy cost-effective technology solutions, as well as ensure 100% up-time on associated infrastructure. Requirements:
8-10 years of Network / Systems Operations support, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have strong technical knowledge of current network and enterprise systems software, protocols and standards, including Cisco Networking ( routers, switches, etc. ), Firewalls and knowledge of Exchange, Directory Services.
Must have a CCNA Certification.
Strong knowledge of local area network administration.
Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and deployment.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as you will be interacting with various levels of the organization.
Bachelors degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Services or related field. Technical Masters degree is a plus.
Open to primarily domestic travel 25-30% of the time. Infrequent international travel as needed.
Flexibility to work rotational weekend / off-hours as needed.
Pluses: Cisco Voice and Wireless, Remedy, Microsoft Advanced Level Certifications, Cisco Advanced Level Certifications, ITIL Certifications, Six Sigma Certifications, Project Management or PMI Certifications, International experience, Experience managing or working in outsourced IT environments.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
