Duties:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available - Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery - Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment - Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures - Monitor patients' vital signs and alert medical staff of any changes or concerns - Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols - Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room - Document patient information, surgical procedures, and other relevant data accurately
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and
Experience:
- Previous experience working in an operating room or acute care setting is preferred - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology - Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) procedures - Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions - Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Requirements:
- Certification as an Operating Room Technician is preferred but not required - Completion of a recognized training program for Operating Room Technicians is preferred but not required - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays We offer competitive pay rates and benefits packages for our employees.
