Records & Information Analyst - HR

Job Functions &
Responsibilities:
Analyze and research current digital and hard copy collection of engineering and business information publications to look for more efective and cost effecient sources Using an OPAC system edit and create MARC records.
o Using Content Server, create a structure that will facilitate easy searching and browsing to located materials.
Work with Engineers and subject matter experts to confirm terms and dates of projects o Work with Procurement to locate vendors for scanning bulk records, coordinate outsourcing of digitization and quality control.
o Upload bulk records using excel spreadsheets and Blubaker software o Working with Knowledge Management tag documents that have value for the Knowledge base.
Recommend documents that have potential as templates.
And associate retention to all documents that are retained.
o Implement a plan to analyze and digitize or warehouse a large collection of engineering documents o Working with Office 365 Compliance center develop a plan for storing short term documents that support engineering needs o Assist end users with searching for technical documents by their associated metadata tags.
o Assist with developing policies and procedures for Content Management, facilitate working groups from different business areas to vet future policies.
Support a training program for Records and information services.
Skills:
Clear understanding of Content/ Records Management systems Basic understanding of library systems.
excel sills o Understanding and ability to interpret NYPAs Engineering needs and document collections for ease of discovery o Work with various business units to further understand their records and information needs and usage styles.
o Experience with Content Server or other established records management systems.
o Understanding of taxonomy/metadata skills.
o Good written and oral communication skills o Ability to work independently o Experience creating collections of documents and training end users to search o Experience in the engineering/utilities, field ability to work in a highly regulated environment o Exceptional customer service and strong interpersonal skills are required o Microsoft Office/Outlook skills, knowledge of Access, and strong Excel skills o Ability to establish effective relationships with team members o Assist with any resources needed to support technical work such database creation updates Education & Certifications:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
