Work ScheduleMonday through Friday 7.
5 hour work day with.
5 hour unpaid lunch Paid for time worked only; there are no paid holidays, vacation, or sick days Overtime is not permitted unless authorized in advanced.
Contingent Worker is required to badge in and out of the turnstiles located in the lobby for all daily entrances and exits.
HR Engagement RequirementsCandidate required to be local to Tri-State area and in W2 status as employee of Service Providers.

Project OverviewThe contingent worker will provide estimating support to the group, help with the administration of NYPA estimating software and coordinate estimates being performed by external resources.
Job Functions & ResponsibilitiesoPrepare, support and coordinate multi-discipline detailed estimates for work based on designed jobs for major Capital Construction and plant maintenance / modification using Sage.
oIdentify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
oEnsure all estimates identify and incorporate all risks, markups, assumptions, etc.
oAssign and coordinate estimate deliverables to third party A/E firms based on their availability and capability to work on the project estimate request(s).
oOversee and hold weekly progress meeting with A/E Estimating Team(s) to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
oReview data supplied by the NYPA project team to ensure that sufficient data is provided to complete the type of estimate that is requested.
oCoordinate RFI's between the 3rd party A/E estimating team and the NYPA project team(s) to ensure information is sufficient for the estimate.
oEvaluate and analyze estimates prepared by A/E's to ensure quality and accuracy metrics are being consistently met based on the estimate classification per AACE Industry Standards.
oCoordinate activities with SSM to ensure adherence to Contract Terms and Conditions related to outsourced estimating deliverables.
oMaintain database of 3rd party A/E estimates and related quality metrics of deliverablesSkillsProficiency with Sage Estimating oExcellent written and verbal communication skills oAbility to work collaboratively and effectively in fast-paced work environment with our Stakeholders oMS Office - Proficiency oTravel may be required when NYPA returns to normal work schedule to familiarize with project site locationsEducation & CertificationsEstimator with minimum 2 years experience working in utility environment required oEngineering Degree is preferred oCertified Estimating Professional (CEP) - PreferredSkill Chart:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
