Latino U College Access (LUCA), is a nonprofit organization in Westchester whose mission is to empower first- generation Latino students on their journeys to and through college so they can fulfill their remarkable potential.
Position:
LUCA is seeking a creative, proactive, and motivated Communications Coordinator.
Reporting directly to the Communications Manager, the Coordinator will work closely with the program and advancement teams to develop and implement communications strategies across a variety of platforms to expand and engage all audiences.
Along with administrative duties, this position is balanced with the opportunity to learn essential nonprofit management skills in philanthropy, communications, and marketing.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a willingness to think outside the box and experiment with new ideas, working knowledge of current digital marketing best practices, and a commitment to supporting the students and families of LUCA.

Full-Time, Non-Exempt Salary:
$40,000 - $42,000 Key Responsibilities ? Organize and execute a social media strategy across key platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) ensuring brand integrity for posts, profiles, and graphics ? Assist with the planning, writing, and management of email communications via Campaign Monitor platform ? Design flyers, graphics, videos, and other marketing materials via Canva platform ? Assist with the coordination of press opportunities ? Support communication efforts associated with special events ? Provide exemplary customer service to volunteers, partners, and supporters ? Edit and update website (WordPress) ensuring accuracy, consistency, and professional appearance ? Collaborate on new ideas and assist with special projects as needed Desired Qualifications ? Bachelor's degree in a communications-related major ? Two years of related experience preferred ? Strategic thinker and strong communicator with excellent writing and editing skills ? Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented ? Ability to multitask and handle shifting priorities ? Proficiency with technology, specifically Google Suite and Salesforce CRM ? Knowledge of graphic design, creative communications, and video editing ? Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred but not required ? Team player, comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment ? Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to LUCA's mission Latino U College Access, Inc.
